I Swear You're Still Here

I swear, the cup that holds your coffee is still warm
I swear, your laugh still lingers on this wall paper

I swear, your towel is still wet, hanging on the rack
I swear...
I swear...

I swear, your keys are still jingling on the key ring, because you just got home
I swear, you're still home.

Your shampoo bottles are still full,
You have clean socks in the drawer,
Your ties are waiting to hug your warm neck,
Your car is still full of gas
And the sun decided to rise today, it wouldn't rise without you.

I swear to God, you're still here
I swear, you're home.

Your left overs are in the fridge, waiting to be eaten,
Your running shoes are waiting by the door to hit the pavement,
Your side of the bed is still sunken from your breathing body,
Your football team is still playing this Sunday.

Your kids will call your name in the morning
And so will I

I swear, you're still here.
And here, I'll stay.

Inside these walls,
Where you and I made sense
Where you and I just were
Where you and I turned into "us"

Inside these walls, is the only place I see color
Outside, without you, is only black and white

I swear you're still here.
And here, I'll stay.
Here I'll stay, with you.
